Jose Herrera-Chavez, AAIA

President

Jose Herrera-Chavez, AAIA, serves as President, providing day-to-day leadership and strategic oversight for the company. As a Design Professional, he holds a Bachelors in Architecture and a Masters in Architecture with a Certificate in Community and Urban Design from Texas Tech University. Jose brings extensive experience practicing commercial architecture, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the design and construction industry from concept through completion. As a highly respected leader among airport management personnel and industry peers, Jose leverages his in-depth knowledge of the design and construction process to ensure projects are executed with precision and efficiency. His experience working in active airport environments equips him with the skills necessary for careful coordination, strict adherence to safety protocols, and alignment with operational requirements.

Vanessa Gamboa, AAIA

Chief Financial Officer

Vanessa Gamboa serves as CFO, overseeing all financial, accounting, risk, and capital management operations for the firm. As an Architectural Associate pursuing licensure, Vanessa brings an extensive background in commercial architectural design and construction estimating, having led complex projects in the corporate and educational sectors. This deep understanding of design, construction, and project delivery informs her strategic oversight, enabling her to make integral contributions to the company’s financial health. Vanessa possesses a strong grasp of bidding, contract negotiation, and project budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with operational goals. Luis Gonzalez, AAIA

VP of Operations & Project Management Director

Luis Gonzalez, AAIA, serves as Vice President of Operations and Project Management Director, providing leadership and oversight for the company’s project delivery and operational excellence. As a design professional, Luis holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Continente Americano in Celaya, Mexico, and is a licensed architect in Mexico with extensive experience in governmental and residential architecture, while currently pursuing U.S. licensure as a Professional Registered Architect. He brings a comprehensive understanding of design and construction from concept through completion, blending technical expertise with practical experience. Having operated his own construction company prior to joining Flughafen, Luis possesses hands-on construction knowledge, enabling him to verify processes, procedures, and craftsmanship to the highest standards. This unique combination of architectural insight and contractor experience ensures projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and exceptional quality, delivering outstanding results for clients.
